very interesting story from Agile 2012 about a very large scale agile transformation, with more than 2000 staff involved, clearly illustrating that unless you manage to change the fundamental cultural patterns of the organization, moving from a traditional hierarchical command & control structure towards a decentralized and empowered collaboration and communication networking structure, techniques like scrums, sprints, standUp-meetings etc will not help you much.
